Shelli Yoder, the Democratic candidate for Congress in Indiana’s 9th Congressional District, will continue her grassroots campaign with the “Open Table Tour.”
The tour will feature lunchtime town hall meetings with voters across Indiana’s 9th Congressional District.
The tour makes a stop in New Albany on Oct. 19 from noon-1 p.m. at J.R.’s Pub, 826 W. Main Street.
“In contrast to current congressman Todd Young, who refuses to hold open forum town hall meetings that are common with most members of Congress, Shelli pledges to hold regular town hall meetings in all 13 counties after she is elected,” said Yoder campaign manager Katie Carlson.
“The ‘Open Table Tour’ will provide voters with the experience of having a congressional candidate accessible to open question and answer sessions throughout the 9th District and provide them with an example of what they will be like when Shelli is in Congress.”
The event is free and open to the public and guests are encouraged to order from the menu. For more information, send e-mail to info@shelliyoderforcongress.com or visit the campaign’s Facebook page.
